I’ve looked up some sample wedding invitations, and I found one I liked. However the begining starts “The honour” is that British, or the correct use of the word for this occasion? I dont want to look like a moron if I spell it honor and it’s wrong. Also, does it matter on the invitations of the bride/grooms name is first or last?!

I once saw a poem that thanked the guests for coming & you could attach it to a box that contained the favor. It said something about the box containing love & appreciation for the guest. Anybody know of this?

I have 2 questions:
1. What do you think of the name Audrey Mae, or Audra Mae? Do you have any other ideas for little girls?
2. My wedding is in Aug of 2008, but Im planning now! Any ideas for do it yourself wedding flowers, or favor ideas? I want to have a very elegant wedding, but I want to keep it cheap (as in cost). Ideas?
I really want to keep Mae as the middle name, because I want my daughter to have part of my name, because my son, has his daddys middle name..
If i were to make my own flowers, with real flowers, how long would i have to make them before the wedding? To keep them fresh?
PLease dont get me started on the whole fact that i will soon have 2 children and im not married yet and all that stuff. I’ve heard it all before. . . keep those opinions to your self please! Thanks!

I have googled but it only brings up websites with plain and ugly invitation ideas. I’m after something like what you’d find in a magazine. I would go to the newsagent but it’s closed and i dont want to wait for tomorrow.

I need some ideas for Do-it-yourself wedding favors. The wedding is going to be classically elegant and the colors are berry/Burgundy, light blue, and silver.

We need ideas for tables, florals, reception and also a small thank you for those attending. We would like web sites that you used and those you wouldn’t. The colors will be ivory(bride), green (attendants), the brides favorite color is orange and she would like to incorporate it if possible.

I am planning my second wedding, and while I dont’ want the big hullaballoo like my first marriage, I would like an intimate backyard wedding to celebrate finally finding my true love.
We have no budget, but we are very creative and talented artists who can make/do just about anything. My parents have a beautiful property, and I can see saving some money for a tent and tables.
I would like some ideas (details please) on decorations and food for perhaps 50 or so people. I’m not doing the “white thing”. I am thinking buying candles and cheap glass containers in bulk, and alot of paper lanterns when I can find them cheap. White string lights, etc. Flowers are going to be a problem, I’m thinking about tissue paper flower garlands, fabric, that type of thing. Any ideas about color themes, flowers, linens, other cheap/bulk items that make nice decorations, and a way to cut the cost of food would be great! I think the wedding will be late summer or fall.

We are getting married in September and we’d like to have something that has our name and wedding date on it that we could give to the attendants. I went to a wedding of one of my good friends and they had magnets made from bottle caps so that’s out because I want something different. Any ideas or websites with ideas or anything would be much appreciated! I’m willing to put a lot of time and work into this project so ANY ideas you have would be helpful!

In one of the early editions of the “In-Style Weddings” there was a photo of Jamie Lee Curtis’ wedding ring as part of a celebrity wedding rings article. Can anyone suggest where I might be able to find that photo or even back issues of the In-Style wedding magazine?

A friend at work who does wedding invitations did 150 for me and charged me only the materials and she said to pay her whatever I wanted to over that for her labor. The total amount for materials was $120. How much over should I pay? I want to be very generous because she did an amazing job and the invitations I asked her to make would have cost me $750 out of a magazine. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
