Is anybody a wedding planner?

I am completely facinated with wedding planning. I watch all of the shows and read all of the magazines. My dad says that I should be a wedding planner because I have all of the organizational, people, and planning skills and it is something that I absolutely love!
Anybody know about it?
Kathleen

No.
My sister is a wedding planner who just started her business…she took classes and is now a certified wedding planner, and is helping me plan my wedding for free! WOO HOO!! lol Good luck to you!
It’s the best job I’ve ever had! I love it! Good luck with your pursuit! If you have any questions give me a shout!
best wishes…………………..
I too am going to look into getting into this field as a side business/job once I am done with my own wedding. I would say sign up to take a class and get certified in it. In these classes, they will help you create a portfolio and be more prepared for what you will have in store because there is A LOT to planning any wedding or event. Watching the TV shows is a start, but taking some kind of class and getting certified would be the best option in the long run. However, before you even enroll, I would suggest calling some planners in your area to see if they would let you volunteer for a while. That way, you can see just what it takes to get into this field and make sure it’s something you really want to do. I hired a wedding planner and she has offered to let me intern with her once I am finished planning my own wedding and taking a local course. A community college in my area offers the course. Check colleges, vocational schools, and online correspondence schools for the Bridal Consultant courses. I hope this helps!
(an excellent online school that offers the course at a very affordable rate)
I’m a Coordinator/Planner. I’ve always enjoyed planning events and decorating so it came naturally when I took the course and got certified.
I know my school expanded to certain parts of the USA, yet here’s the link:.
Hope that is a good start. You may also want to try volunteering for events at various places like a hospital/charitable organization, yoru church (if you go to one), and have dinner parties where you can show off your style. And take courses! If you can get books in the store or library on how to start your own business on it, then make that move. You’d be amazed at what you may not always see in the shows that you need to know & the classes will tell you that also.
If you need any other questions or such answered, just give me a ding!
I took a course with AA-WP.com
check it out and Good luck!
